About Us
Minster Lovell Playgroup is a community Playgroup where parents and carers can confidently leave their children secure in the knowledge that they will receive the highest standards of care and early years education. Minster Lovell Playgroup is a charity organisation managed by a committee of volunteer parents

The ethos underpinning all we do is ‘learning through play’. Our curriculum is child led with some adult led activities. We place a strong emphasis on language and books and plan our topics around core stories. We also follow children's interests in our planning.
Our Approach
Learning Through Play
At the heart of everything we do is learning through play. We believe children learn best when they are engaged, curious and having fun.
Our curriculum is largely child-led, alongside carefully planned adult-led activities. We follow children's interests and ideas, while using core stories and books to inspire learning and encourage a love of language and reading.
Helping Children Grow
We support every area of children's learning and development, with a particular focus on the Prime Areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage:
Personal, Social & Emotional Development
Building confidence, friendships, independence and emotional wellbeing.
Physical Development
Developing movement, coordination and independence in everyday activities.
Communication & Language
Supporting children to express themselves, develop their vocabulary and become confident communicators.
We encourage children to become increasingly confident and independent in their self-care and approach to learning, helping them develop the skills they need for a happy and successful transition to Reception.
Inclusive & Individual
Every child is unique, and we celebrate that. We welcome children with all individual needs and believe every child has the right to learn, develop and reach their full potential.
We provide an inclusive environment where differences are respected and valued, and where every child has the opportunity to feel that they belong.
Working With Families
We believe that parents are children's first and most enduring educators. That's why working closely with families is such an important part of what we do.
We listen to parents and carers, share information and work together to understand and support each child's individual needs. By working as a team, we can give children the consistency, encouragement and support they need to thrive.
