We’re incredibly proud of our dedicated and experienced team. Our staff are passionate about creating a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported.

Our team bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to Playgroup, and we are committed to continually developing our skills so that we can provide the very best care and learning experiences for the children in our setting.

Vicki holds a Nursery Foundation Diploma in the Montessori Method and a BA (Hons) degree in Education, including a full term of assessed teaching practice. She has many years of experience in early years education, including running a nursery in Oxford for 10 years, and has been managing Minster Lovell Playgroup since 2006.

Safeguarding & Professional Development

The safety and wellbeing of the children in our care is always our highest priority.

All staff hold current Paediatric First Aid certificates, have completed safeguarding training and have been appropriately cleared through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Vicki is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and has completed specialist safeguarding training.

We are committed to ongoing professional development and regularly seek training opportunities that enhance our knowledge, skills and ability to support the children in our care.

Staff Cover & Ratios

We always aim to maintain appropriate staffing levels and will endeavour to arrange suitable cover when a member of staff is absent.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to maintain the required staff-to-child ratios, parents will be notified and Playgroup may need to close for the session.

Our staff-to-child ratios are:

1:8 for children aged 3–5 years
1:4 for children aged 2–3 years
